Ambassador Cheikh Wade delivered a keynote speech at the London School of Economics (LSE) Africa Summit 2025 on March 29th, 2025. The summit, held on March 29th and 30th, centered around the theme “Securing Africa’s Future: Promoting Resilience in a Divided World,” focusing on Africa’s responses to global challenges such as trade, climate change, and geopolitical shifts.
In his address, Ambassador Wade provided a general overview of Africa, and specifically addressed the foundational importance of Security, Peace, and Stability, the priority of Human Security, and the need for Resilience in global affairs.
The LSE Africa Summit is recognised as one of Europe’s largest and most prominent student-led conferences. It serves as a key platform for engagement among influential scholars, policymakers, forward-thinking corporations, NGOs, innovative entrepreneurs, and engaged LSE students.
