On October 23, 2023 in London, Senegal and the United Kingdom held the first session of a High-level Political Dialogue between the two countries which is a bilateral platform for global political discussion between two friendly countries. This inaugural yearly session was co-chaired by Andrew Mitchell, British Minister for Africa and Development, and Ismaïla Madior Fall, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad.
The two Ministers congratulated each other on the excellent bilateral relations, mutually beneficial, and productive partnership between Senegal and the United Kingdom. They underlined their determination to deepen this partnership in order to promote peace and prosperity in the two countries and to jointly face the major challenges facing the world.
